Fall Date Night Ideas

Updated: Jan 11, 2020

Fall is the perfect time to get creative or maybe even ~SPOOOKYYY~ with your dates! The leaves are falling, it is getting slightly colder, romance is in the air, girls are excited because it means they get to switch up their Starbucks order, plus pull out their cute sweaters & booties, and men... I'm not sure what you are excited for..... maybe sports? Anyways, I have made a list below of my personal favorite fall dates that will for sure spice up your relationship!

Go to a football game

Fall means football IS BACK! I promise not all women hate football, and more than likely going to a sports game will really appeal to most because it’s something unique and different! So, bring your tie blanket, booze, and your best tailgating outfit to cheer on your favorite team! GO STATE!

Make a bonfire & roast s’mores

Nothing makes me more excited for fall then cuddling around a fire in a giant blanket, telling stories, and trying to make the most perfect golden colored s’mores! Men: It’s a HUGE turn on knowing you can be a survivalist and make your own fire, soooo if you don’t know how, maybe practice so you can show off your skills!

Pumpkin patch + carving pumpkins

The traditional fall date that you can never go wrong with! Seriously, I think most girls love getting dressed in cute fall attire and getting crafty with pumpkin carving! Pick a pumpkin patch that has other fun fall activities such as: corn mazes, shops, apple picking, hay rides, farm animals, food, etc. that way you can make a whole afternoon / night out of it!

Men: prepare yourself for endless pictures. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Stroll through a farmer’s market

Everyone knows the way to a person’s heart is FOOD! Plus farmer’s markets are a good way to get to know the community and support local businesses. Most farmer’s markets are offered weekly, so it could be the start of a tradition! TIP: GET HER FLOWERS

Go to a drive-in movie

Step it up from a boring movie theater and find a drive-in movie theater! Throw in extra pillows, A LOT of fuzzy blankets, some popcorn / bring your significant others favorite snacks to show you notice the little details of each other!

Ride in a hot air balloon // See a balloon festival

One of my all time favorite memories is riding in a hot air balloon. It was like nothing I have experienced before-- lots of beauty & honestly watching the sunrise was so romantic! If your state does not have a licensed hot air balloon tour ride company, then see if your state has a balloon festival (or road trip to one near by)! For example, Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta: is the Largest Hot Air Balloon Festival in America, and I think that would be the PERFECT date.

Finish a fall movie marathon

Key word: FALL movie, DUH! Set the holiday mood with watching Harry Potter, Halloweentown, or maybe if you’re feeling frisky, a scary movie. Get really creative and set up a fort either outside with the movie projected, or inside always works too!

Go on a hike

For my active couples, go on a hike! This doesn't mean you have to climb mountains, but it could mean finding a state park or a scenic trail to hold hands and have a picnic at! If you have a hammock be sure to bring it so you can set it up and really be able to take in the crisp air and all the fall colors. I really love my portable enos hammock, I bought a double delux so it could fit both Shem & I in it comfortably.

Visit a haunted house

It's spooky season ya'll. This is for the psycho adrenaline junkies! Definitely not my first pick because haunted houses are always a terrifying time, but they do make for the best laughs, memories, and stories to tell later on.

Go to a music festival or concert

Is it just me, or does it seem like a lot of popular music groups go on tour in the fall? All of my favorite fall concerts have been spent sitting in the cheap "lawn ticket" section dancing the night away. Of course, seeing big name stars in a production filled arena is always great too, just make sure you both enjoy the artist before spending the big bucks on tickets!

Have a fall baking competition

See who is better in the kitchen! It's only fun if it's a competition. Just kidding, kind of. All you have to do is search "fall recipes" on pinterest and millions of ideas pop up! From there, find a fall recipe you both want to try (maybe pumpkin bread, pumpkin/ apple pie, apple crisp, snickerdoodles, etc. just to name a few ideas), go to the store together to buy everything, and then get to work!

There you have it friends! I hope you enoyed these potential date night ideas. Let me know your favorite fall date ideas!

xoxo,

Cami
