Current Morning "Coming to Jesus" Routine

How I tricked myself into becoming a morning person.

The only tip: find things you enjoy that make you look forward to waking up each morning!

Here is what that looks like for me!


First grab your cup of tea / coffee and then:

  1. Daily Devotional -- I’ve shared this one on so many different platforms, but it is my staple inspirational tool in my daily walk with Jesus. I’m on the third year cycle of this book, and I don’t think I will ever replace it.

  2. Gratitude Journal -- This book leaves me feeling extra thankful! Each day there are different prompts to get you thinking about your personal gratitude. If you don’t want to spend money on this, I recommend getting a normal notebook and writing 3-5 things you are grateful for each day.

  3. 100 days to Brave -- This book is a new addition to my morning routine. I’m only on day 23, out it always leaves me feeling motivated and empowered.

  4. Love Language in Minutes -- If you have a significant other, I highly recommend getting this daily devotional! This book gives me friendly reminders on how to love my significant other to the best of my ability -- plus it only takes one minute to read!

  5. One Line A Day Journal -- This is a 5 year memory book that brings unexpected joy and reflection into my day. For each day I write a positive, impactful, joyful, or fun thing I did to remember that day later on (never something negative)! For example, that could be a personal accomplishment like learning how to play a certain song on the piano, celebrating a friends birthday, a bible verse that spoke to me, a conversation I had with a family member, or an activity I did like hiking Camelback or running a half marathon! It's fun to look back each year to remember what I was doing that day! This also makes for a great gift!


Each book is supposed to be done daily, and each only takes up to a minute to read each page! Super simple yet very effective! I guarantee it will make you ready to take on ANY day!
